The substance abuse is associated with the loss of 28 million of healthy lifetime. In Mexico the drugs demand was increased twice the last five years. It´s vitally important to avoid adolescents initiate or keeping drug abuse or delaying the starting age of abuse of licit substances. Therefore, prevention actions must be adjusted to the cultural practices of adolescents. The alternatives are the Interventions of Prevention Based on Technologies of Communication (IPBTC), inasmuch as offers some advantages, like low costs, anonymity of individuals, increases and facilitates the recruitment as well as monitoring behavior. Based on this a systematic review was done to answer the questions: what are the characteristics of PIBTC through computer use (Interventions by computer, IC) and mobile phone (Interventions by mobile-phone, IMP)? and if: have they been effective to prevent or diminish the abuse of drugs in adolescents? With this in mind 21 studies were evaluated and the results in general showed effectivity in the reduction of the frequency and the amount of alcohol and other drugs consumption. Key Words: Internet, Cell Phone, Drugs Abuse, Adolescents, Review.
