Abstract

Introduction. The current paper presents an analysis of health, in the context of organizations, and whose concept is known in the specialized literature as organizational health (or healthy organizations. A healthy organization can be understood as one that establishes work processes that promote and maintain a state of well-being. Objective. Analyze the levels of the main organizational health indicators of a higher education institution in the State of Yucatan and compare the results with the Model of Healthy and Resilient Organizations or HERO Model. Material and methods. Was in accordance with the quantitative approach and the selected sampling a non-probabilistic, the sampling by quotas. The participants were 454 students, and 237 academic, administrative, manual and managerial staff from the educational institution. Results. of the descriptive statistical analysis were positive, with scores above the theoretical average (X=2.5) for the dimensions of the PERMA and satisfaction scale and (X=3) for the HERO scale. According to the confirmation analysis carried out between the scales (PERMA and HERO), significant correlations were found between the dimensions of the same scale (positive emotions, engagement, relations, meaning and accomplishments) and between the dimensions of the HERO scale (teamwork, collective engagement, collective resilience, organizational practices, collective performance and quality in the service. Conclusions. The results represent a good level of organizational health with a positive trend of well-being both according to the five PERMA indicators, and with the concepts of the HERO Model.
