Participation for health: a look at women's health

Abstract

Reflections are presented for the analysis of the process of participation in health of and for women around Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). Such reflections put on the table questions that go beyond the biomedical problem implied by an STI and how the process of community and social participation can contribute to make visible the sociocultural background in this growing health problem.
